This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in cool geologic traits, try Devils Elbow. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Deadman Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Lumber River Campground and Trail Rides. Buck Head Bay is a perfect site to check out. During the warm days of summer at Deadman Lakes highs are regularly in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the       60's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 50's; night lows at Deadman Lakes through the wintertime ordinarily drop into the 20's. There are other places here than Deadman Lakes, for example Heron Lakes, and you can stay the night at Little Pee Dee State Park. After a long day outdoors Martin's Motel & Restaurant is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and Sawscalpel                  Bay is not far at all. A great close by hotel is The Decanter Inn, and Pineland Country Club is a golf course close by. Swamps don’t sound that good but Big Thick near Deadman Lakes is relatively good, and the nice folks of Dillon like to hang out close by.
