Do stop by Coopers Pond while you're in this part of South Carolina. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Saluda River, and at Coopers Pond you always meet someone from Columbia. Through the months of summer at Coopers Pond temperatures are commonly in the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and nighttime

| | lows in the 20's for Coopers Pond. This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Northwoods Golf Club.
Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn Columbia NE/Fort Jackson, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Broad River. You're in all probability into lakes, Burnside Lake is one of those nearby, and a spree to Congaree Swamp National Monument is recommended. at Arcadia Woods Lake Dam. There's so much to do here at Coopers Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Capital City Campground is a good site for that.
This is a great area for folks who like lakes. Rocky Ford Lake is a
lake in the vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Columbia-Days Inn Columbia Mall is a great spot to spend a night or two. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. Coopers Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Sesquicentennial
State Park is a fine local campground, and some nearby water includes Eightmile Branch. Coopers Pond frequently gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls through March while November is commonly the driest month.
