Coopers Pond is not the only spot nearby, Rocky Ford Lake is a nearby lake, and La Quinta Inn & Suites Columbia NE Fort Jackson is a brilliant location to get some rest. If you came to camp Capital City Campground is a magnificent location to do that, and if you need a location to stay Days Inn Columbia/Fort Jackson is a great choice. Summertime highs at Coopers Pond regularly tend to be in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's.

| | High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Coopers Pond temperatures drop to the 20's. Here at Coopers Pond there are plenty of folks from Columbia, and a round of golf at nearby Northwoods Golf Club is a splendid way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Saluda River offers
some splendid whitewater.
An out of the ordinary thing to check out close to Coopers Pond is Arcadia Woods Lake Dam, and why not a little side tour to Eightmile Branch. Coopers Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is the month that gets the most rain while November is commonly the driest month.
