Do stop at Coopers Pond Dam while you're here at Coopers Pond, and while you're here, you could also stop at scenic Spring Lake. There's so much to do here at Coopers Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sesquicentennial State Park is a good place for that, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Columbia/Fort Jackson. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Saluda River. Eightmile Branch is a great place to have a look at; Super 8 Columbia/Ft.

| | Jackson Area is a good site to get some rest.
Northwoods Golf Club is a good golf course nearby; the fine people of Columbia like to hang out close by. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Coopers Pond. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are usually in the 50's with temperatures at Coopers Pond dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. If you haven’t been to Congaree Swamp National Monument, you
should schedule some time for it if you're here. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Coopers Pond has to offer, you can camp at Capital City Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Carys Lakes is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and paddling on Broad River is so much fun.
