A visit to Collins Pond is always a good idea. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Collins Pond; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 60's. During the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Collins Pond tend to be in the 20's. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn Laurens Road is a wonderful choice, and Collins Lake Dam is a brilliant lake nearby.

There's so much to do here at Collins Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Paris Mountain State Park is a good site for that, and let's not forget Brushy Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Reedy River, and if you're popping by from Greenville, you won't be the only one. is a fine location to get some rest, and Collins Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Springwood RV Park is a wonderful local campground.
This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend close by Cross
Winds Golf Course, and a gorgeous lake like Greers Pond is a great location to visit. The high level of rainfall makes Collins Pond a relatively wet place; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
