The Burrells Ford Trail is a great hiking trail near Collins Lake, and Cedar Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. Here at Collins Lake you can catch a glimpse of Wells Mountain, and Miller Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. Getting to Findley Branch from Collins Lake is painless, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Seneca for sure. This lake is so wonderful.       Jameson Inn Seneca is a delightful site to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Cassidy Bridge Campground is a magnificent place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Yellow Branch Campground if you're here at Collins Lake, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chauga River. Through the months of summer highs here at Collins Lake get into the 80's while overnight lows are frequently                  in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Collins Lake. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. After a long day outdoors Seneca-Days Inn Clemson is a splendid spot to spend a night or two; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Winding Stairs Trail. The high level of rain makes Collins Lake a quite wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain; October on the other hand is the driest. On a brilliant day at Collins Lake you can take a hike along the Chattooga Trail, and if you get bored of Collins Lake you could also pop by close by Cox Pond.
