You can run the rapids of Saluda River in the vicinity of Clarks Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Columbia I-20 @ Clemson Road is a tremendous choice. Don't forget to take a wonderful little tour to Sorghum Branch, and Wingate by Wyndham - Columbia - Northeast is a splendid spot to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. High temperatures at Clarks Lake throughout the warm months are in the 90's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, generally in the 60's. with a good deal of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful. Clarks Lake is a nice location to camp, Capital City Campground is a nice location, and visiting
Congaree Swamp National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
This lake is so wonderful. At Clarks Lake you always meet someone from Columbia, and golf can be played at Golf Club of South Carolina. You're
almost certainly addicted to lakes, Boyds Pond One is one of those close by; there's whitewater on Broad River for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
