This lake is so wonderful. Bynum Creek is a delightful site to visit, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Saluda River. Be careful coming to Clark Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ft. Jackson is a pleasant site to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Broad River for all you thrill seekers.       Here at Clark Pond you'll possibly meet some folks from Columbia, and if you've had enough of Clark Pond, Ruthledges Pond is close by. Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is a great location to get some rest, and Clark Pond is not the only place close by, Old Barstow Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. The vistas at Congaree Swamp National Monument will blow your mind; Clark Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Capital City Campground                  is a great local campground. The warmest time of the year at Clark Pond comes with high temperatures in the 90's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's while Clark Pond night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's. There's so much to do here at Clark Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bethel Campground is a great place for that, and Northwoods Golf Club is a fine golf course nearby.
