This is a magnificent neighborhood for folks who like lakes. Mountain Rest Lake is a lake nearby; Chattooga Lake is next to Callas Gap which is without doubt worth       checking out. If you come at the right time of year, Chattooga River offers some good whitewater, and the view of beautiful Alf Hill is pleasant. The snow is fine at Sky Valley, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Winding Stairs Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Hattooga Lake is right next door to Chattooga Lake; The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a great place to get some rest. Head up to Scaly Mountain and strap some skis to your                  feet, and if you need a location to stay Old Edwards Inn and Spa is a glorious choice. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area right next door to Chattooga Lake has to offer. Why not stop by nearby Holden Branch if you're here at Chattooga Lake; if you're stopping by from Seneca, you won't be the only one.
