If you are in Spartanburg county it's always a good idea to stop by C Stewart Pond. This lake is so wonderful. C Stewart Pond is a great place to visit for more than one day, Cunningham RV Park is a great place to camp nearby, and this is a popular place for folks from Spartanburg. Be careful coming to C Stewart Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. Spivey Creek is a stunning stream that is worth going to; playing golf is lots of fun at Village Golf

| | Club. For the duration of the months of summer here at C Stewart Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 80's, and the overnight is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at C Stewart Pond are in the 20's.

splendid close by hotel is Quality Inn Greer, and float down the rapids of North Pacolet River in a kayak. Creekside RV Park is a nice local campground. Lakes are pleasant; C Earley Pond One is a lake that's right next door to C Stewart
Pond.
If you need a place to stay Columbus/Tryon Days Inn is a magnificent choice. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cove Creek, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Gramling Number One Pond.

we came from california and have stayed at many different campgrounds. This is by far, the best we have found. Just perfect.... We plan on being here a long time.
...Bought by Susan and Steve Suber in 1997, the Flowermill RV. campground is in Taylors, SC. It's proximity to The Mountains and surrounding lakes makes it a perfect place to stay. The park is right next to the Enoree river on land that was once used as a mill. The old structure still exists as does the dam that provided its power. With its sandy beach and beautiful waterfall, I cant think of a better place to relax and let the sounds of nature wash the stress away. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more informative. A pure delight... |

Green River

This section is fun but not very difficult. The river is full of tubers in the summer. Trout fishing is good here so bring a rod, just be sure you know the regulations as they change on different sections and the game wardens are notorious ticket writers. The put in is at ''Fish Top'' access and the take out is at the ''Big Rock'' access parking lot both on Green River Cove Rd. Also from the Big Rock access to the public landing on Lake Adger is a good trip, but a little slower.... |
