There are other spots here than Burroughs Pond, for example Rock Spring Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lawsons Fork Creek. All through the summertime, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Burroughs Pond. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically       in the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 50's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Burroughs Pond temperatures dip to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to bump into some wonderful folks from Union here, and an afternoon playing golf at Oak Ridge Country Club is always a diversion. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Burroughs Pond. Pine Ridge Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and there's whitewater                  on Pacolet for all you adrenaline kick people. Black Branch is a great local stream, and dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Spartanburg/Downtown. Not far from Burroughs Pond, you'll find Smith Pond which is a stunning lake.
