Briggs Pond is always a pleasure to visit. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Briggs Pond called the Horn Creek Hiking Trail, and during your spree here you'll meet some people from Augusta-Richmond County for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Savannah River, and Lake Olmstead is a brilliant lake close by.
