A splendid close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Columbia/Ft. Jackson Area, and obviously, this is a great neighborhood for people who like lakes, Boyden Arbor Lake is a lake in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Columbia-Days Inn Columbia Mall is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and since you're here you can play some golf at Northwoods Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. Boyden Arbor       Pond is a pretty wet place generally with lots of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly March, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is November. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do close to Boyden Arbor Pond. Camping is available at Sesquicentennial State Park, and a tour to Congaree Swamp National Monument is worthwhile. There's always Coopers Pond Dam to check out close to Boyden Arbor Pond; if                  you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Saluda River. A wonderful place to camp here at Boyden Arbor Pond is Capital City Campground, and a delightful site for whitewater paddling is Broad River.
