You don’t have to go far from Boyden Arbor Lake to catch a sight of the water at Coopers Pond Dam; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Broad River. Congaree Swamp National Monument is a good local destination here at Boyden Arbor Lake, and if you need a site to stay Columbia-Days Inn Columbia Mall is a great choice. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Boyden       Arbor Lake get into the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 50's with temperatures at Boyden Arbor Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Columbia/Ft. Jackson Area is a fine location to spend a night or two, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Saluda River. This lake is so wonderful. Since                  you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Boyden Arbor Pond, and you'll meet a lot of people from Columbia here. Any time is a tremendous time at Boyden Arbor Lake if you fancy the outdoors. For you golfers we recommend close by Northwoods Golf Club, and you can stay the night at Sesquicentennial State Park. Boyden Arbor Lake is a relatively wet place usually with a great deal of rainfall; March is when you get the most rain here while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
