Boyd's Mill Pond is a small beautiful pond. The lake is owned by NorthBrook Electric out of Chicago. Most of the boats on the lake belong to the lake residents because there is not public landings. Many residents enjoy water sports such as sking and riding in towables, cruising the lake and fishing. There are not boat restrictions. According to many publications, Boyd's Mill is a great lake to catch large mouth bass and catfish. The majority of the lake is not developed however there has been recent construction of many large homes. Many of the residents decorate their docks during the Christmas season. Overall, the lake is beautiful and very relaxing. Also, many people enjoy walking and fishing at the shoals at the bottom of the damn.

South Carolina has many beautiful lakes and Boyd Millpond is one of them. Do stop by Boyds Mill Dam since you're here at Boyd Millpond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Boyd Millpond has to offer, you can camp at T-roy's. If you come at the right time of year, Reedy River offers some nice whitewater, and not far from Boyd Millpond you'll locate Boyds Mill Reservoir which is a wonderful lake. | | in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 60's. All through the winter highs are typically in the 50's with temperatures at Boyd Millpond dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Greenwood, Sc is a magnificent location to spend a night or two, and Boyd Millpond is a tremendous site to camp, Midway Hunt Campground is a tremendous site. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater | |

paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Saluda River; Boyd Millpond is a place with many visitors from Greenwood. Boyd Millpond is a rather wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rainfall; March is the
wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is August.
But wait, there's more to do right next door to Boyd Millpond. Jameson Inn Greenwood is a splendid place to get some rest.
