If you came for an overnight stay Cherry Hill is a nice site to camp. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Flat Shoal River, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn Seneca/Clemson is a magnificent location to spend a       night or two. Gotta ski! Scaly Mountain is a great place to do that; while you're here you can take a hike along the Winding Stairs Trail. Don't forget to take a great little tour to Alexander Creek, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Burrells Ford Trail. If you get bored of Bookers Lake, you could also pop by close by Browns Lake, and a pleasant close by hotel is Jameson Inn Seneca. A great deal of rainfall falls at Bookers Lake; throughout                  the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is April. This lake is so wonderful. Bookers Lake is not the only site nearby, Walhalla Reservoir is a nearby lake; a nice place for whitewater paddling is Oconee Creek. This lake is so wonderful. The cheerful people of Seneca like to hang out close by, and why not camp at Oconee Station state Historic Site if you're here at Bookers Lake. During the summer months at Bookers Lake highs are frequently in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's.
