Congaree Swamp National Monument is a pleasant place in the neighborhood of Big Lake, and there are plenty of folks from Orangeburg here. Big Lake is a wet place that gets much rainfall; most of the rain falls during July,       and November on the other hand is the driest. Nearby lakes? Sure, Little Lake is close to Big Lake. There's so much to do here at Big Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elliott's Landing and Campground is a tremendous place for that. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Big Lake. Summertime highs at Big Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down                  into the 60's. Throughout the wintertime highs are typically in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Big Lake descend into the 30's.
