If you haven’t been to Congaree Swamp National Monument, you have to schedule some time for it since you're here. There's so much to do here at Bensons Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wheat water Lake Campground is a pleasant location for that. Yeah, come here to Bensons Pond for a glorious time. It's a nice idea to take a look at Dicks Swamp, it's close to Bensons Pond, and if you need a spot to stay Sleep Inn       Orangeburg is a great choice. Dry warm beds await you at Kallaloo Travern Inn & Suites, and if you came to camp Mountaineer Motel is a glorious spot to do that. Bensons Pond is a pretty wet place usually with a lot of precipitation; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while October is the month with the least amount of precipitation. For the period of the long summer days highs here at Bensons Pond get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it                  dips down to the 70's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's while Bensons Pond night low temperatures through the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
