There's so much to do here at Baxley Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Goodale State Park is a tremendous location for that; folks from Lancaster love to come here. For the duration of the warm months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Baxley Pond with overnight lows in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime this       place gets highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Baxley Pond temperatures descend to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Wateree Lake Campground is a good place to do that, and swing by Haile Gold Mine Creek it's a great site to pop by. Baxley Pond gets lots of water; throughout March this area sees the most rain, and April meanwhile is the driest month. If you're a golfer then a perfect close by course is Kershaw                  Golf Club, and if you get bored of Baxley Pond you could also visit close by City Reservoir. That right there is a heap already, but it goes on; Baxley Pond has it all.
