Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are in fact bountiful here at Bates Pond. It's a nice idea to go to Bennett Branch, it's near Bates Pond. The high level of rain makes Bates Pond a quite wet site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and November is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There's good hiking along the Swamp Fox Trail, and if you need a place to stay       Residence Inn By Marriott Charleston Mount Pleasant is a brilliant choice. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bates Pond; Jerico Horse Trail is a good local trail, and after a long day outdoors Marriott Hotels & Resorts is a glorious spot to spend a night or two. All through the summer highs here at Bates Pond get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's while the                  cold winter nights at Bates Pond are in the 30's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Turkey Walk Trail; people from Charleston-North Charleston love to come here.
