Pleasant is a magnificent site to get some rest, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Jerico Horse Trail. Bates Pond is a spot with many visitors from Charleston-North Charleston; dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites At Isle Of Palms Connector. This lake is so wonderful. KOA Kampgrounds is a great campground nearby. Stay the night at No 1 Camps, and if you get bored of Bates Pond you could also explore close by       Mayrants Reserve. For the period of the summertime months at Bates Pond highs are frequently in the 90's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 50's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Bates Pond. Bates Pond gets lots of water; the wettest month of the year is regularly July, that's the one that rains the most, and November is the month with the least moisture.
