    If you are in this part of South Carolina make sure to pay a visit to Bailey Creek Reservoir. The high level of rain makes Bailey Creek Reservoir a rather wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain; April on the other hand is the driest. If you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Double Branch, and if you're here, you could also stop at beautiful Broadway Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Cobb's Glen Country  
   Club, and if you came to camp Sadlers Creek State Recreation Area is a wonderful location to do that.
Quality Inn Anderson is a pleasant place to get some rest. During the warm days of summer at Bailey Creek Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Bailey Creek Reservoir are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Cox Creek is near Bailey
 
               Creek Reservoir and is always a joy to explore. There's so much to do here at Bailey Creek Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Anderson/ Lake Hartwell KOA is a fine spot for that.
Be careful coming to Bailey Creek Reservoir, you might not ever wanna go back home again. You're sure to encounter some great people from Anderson here, and if you need a place to stay Knights Inn Anderson/Clemson is a nice choice. Rocky River is a perfect whitewater spot close to Bailey Creek Reservoir, and you'll locate a scenic lake called Lake Huntington.

This was a nice trip. Put in behind Riverside Tavern on Hwy124, went to Hwy86 in Piedmont. Only scratched the boats a couple times in the few small rapid areas. You will have to paddle about the last 4 or 5 miles due to the back water from the Piedmont dam. Trip took 5.5 hours at this time of the year with good flow in the river. I expected it to take much longer and paddled a bit every now and then. Some fallen trees but no problem going right thru them. Will defiantly go again for a relaxing day on the river. ...
