Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Broad River, and after a long day outdoors Ramada Limited Lexington is a great place to spend a night or two. Ballingtons Pond is a nearby lake that you could check out. At Bachman Ponds throughout the summer months highs are in the 90's with overnight lows in the 60's. During the winter       highs are ordinarily in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Bachman Ponds. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Bachman Ponds. A round of golf at nearby Indian River Golf Club is a wonderful way to kill some time, and at Bachman Ponds you always meet someone from Columbia. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Suites Lexington; do pay a visit to Congaree Swamp National                  Monument while you're here at Bachman Ponds. If you come at the right time of year, Saluda River offers some great whitewater, and why not camp at Barnyard RV Park while you're here at Bachman Ponds.
