August Pond gets much water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain,       and the driest month is September. You'll need more than a day to look at everything August Pond has to offer, you can camp at Paris Mountain State Park, and if you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Greenville I-85@Augusta Road is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Springwood RV Park, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Piedmont/Greenville Area is a great spot to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the                  80's to August Pond; the overnight is rather colder of course, commonly in the 60's.
