Ansel Smith Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Kinard is a tremendous local campground, and Brodie Millpond is a nearby lake that you could pop by. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. This lake is so wonderful. Golf can be played at Indian Trail Golf Course, and a lake close by is Abells Millpond.       A tremendous spot to camp here at Ansel Smith Pond is Cedar Pond Campground, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Lexington is a good choice. For the period of the summer highs here at Ansel Smith Pond get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Ansel Smith Pond.
