Big Goose Pond is close at hand; while you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Columbia. This lake is so wonderful. Alligator Lake is a reasonably wet place frequently with much rain; March is the wettest month with most rain, and November meanwhile is the driest month.

| | Poplar Bottom is an out of the ordinary location to go to while at Alligator Lake, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Columbia is a splendid location to spend a night or two. If you came for an overnight stay Sesquicentennial State Park is a tremendous spot to camp; drift down the rapids of Saluda River in a kayak. If you like swamps, you're in luck, Cow Cut is right nearby, and obviously Gills Creek flows through this region.

This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Alligator Lake is brilliant fun, Capital City Campground is a brilliant local campground, and get dripping wet paddling on Broad River. Looking for a good tour? Congaree Swamp National Monument
is reasonably near Alligator Lake; if you need a place to stay Candlewood Suites COLUMBIA-FT. JACKSON is a glorious choice. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Alligator Lake highs are generally in the 90's, and through the
night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's with temperatures at Alligator Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights.
