Camping is available at Campers Paradise Campground, and lakes are such calm places, why not stop at Mcfaddens Pond. Be careful coming to Alderman Pond, you might not ever wanna return home again. Alderman Pond gets a large amount of water; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is November. A good site to camp       here at Alderman Pond is Big Valley Campground; people from Sumter love to come here. If you need a location to stay Best Western Palmetto Inn is a magnificent choice, and Cuttinumber Pond is a glorious lake close by. Pen Branch is a pretty stream that is worth going to, and a nice nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Manning. Summertime at Alderman Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's.
