Pinewood Lake is nearby; if you come at the right time of year, Saluda River offers some brilliant whitewater. All through the warm months, highs ordinarily are in the 90's at Adams Pond. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 50's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Adams Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Reeder Point Branch is       a charming stream that is worth visiting, and you have to definitely stop by Poplar Bottom during your stay. A magnificent nearby hotel is Candlewood Suites COLUMBIA-FT. JACKSON, and a visit to Congaree Swamp National Monument is recommended. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Broad River, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Columbia is a perfect spot to spend a night or two. Adams Pond gets lots of water; March is the wettest                  month with most rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Adams Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Capital City Campground is a great local campground, and if you came to camp Sesquicentennial State Park is a pleasant location to do that. You'll meet a lot of folks from Columbia here, and if you're a golfer then a fine nearby course is Sedgewood Country Club.
