If you like lakes and you're in this part of Rhode Island you can check out Yorker Mill Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport is a brilliant choice, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Clayhead Nature Trail. Much rain falls at Yorker Mill Pond; November is the month that gets the most rain while February is commonly the driest month. What a spot this is for outdoors folks. The

Mill Pond, it's a beautiful lake. Nothing beats kicking back at North Kingston Town Beach; you're sure to come across some good people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here. Really great skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley,
and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area). Through the days of summer highs here at Yorker Mill Pond reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs

 | 17 miles away Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend... |
