This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous beach in the neighborhood of York Pond is Edgewood Beach, and Baileys Butts is charming and can be made out from here. This lake is so wonderful. Beaches are good; and Frank Moody State Beach near York Pond is no exception; Radisson Hotel Providence Harbor is a good place to get some rest. During the months of summer       here at York Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at York Pond temperatures descend to the 10's. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area close to York Pond has to offer. Blackstone Pond is a good lake near York Pond, and a spree to nearby Baileys Lower Cove is very relaxing.                  This lake is so wonderful. Camp Finberg is a nice campground nearby; the scenery at Omega Pond Dam is striking. And that's not all you can do here at York Pond. If you're going to York Pond from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, you won't be the only one, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Clear and Branch. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Yawgoo Valley is near York Pond, and York Pond is a glorious place to visit for more than one day, Normandy Farms Family Camping Resort is a glorious place to camp nearby. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn-Providence/Rumford is a glorious site to spend a night or two; swamps don’t sound that pleasant but Cat Swamp near York Pond is reasonably pleasant. A good deal of rain falls at York Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is July. A golf course near York Pond is Silver Spring Golf Course; since you're here why not pop by Green Jacket Shoal.
