You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area near Wincheck Pond has to offer. If you're here at Wincheck Pond and you like golf, you can take a look at Fenner Hill Country Club, and drift down the rapids of Matunuck Shore Break in a kayak. Camping is available at Greenwood Hill Family Camp Ground, and paddling on Quinebaug River is so much fun. Why not stop by       Wincheck Pond Dam if you're here, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Narragansett Trail. A great nearby hotel is La Quinta Inn and Suites Stonington, and if you came for an overnight stay Whispering Pines Campground is a great location to camp. If you want to hit the beach, Browning Mill Pond Area Beach is in the vicinity. Summertime highs at Wincheck Pond usually tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, generally                  in the 50's.
