Why not visit Wincheck Pond Dam while you're here, and dry warm beds await you at Budget Inn-Near Foxwoods. Log House Brook is a stream that you may come across while here, and Wincheck Pond is not the only location close by, Ashville Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Fenner Hill Country Club is a splendid golf course close by; a great place to camp here at Wincheck Pond is Greenwood Hill       Family Camp Ground. This lake is so wonderful. You can make out Brightman Hill from Wincheck Pond, and if you need a location to stay Hilltop Inn and Suites is a nice choice. Wincheck Pond gets a lot of water; throughout the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is February. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area next to Wincheck Pond has to offer. If you want to hit the beach, Browning                  Mill Pond Area Beach is close at hand, and going for a hike on the Narragansett Trail is always a perfect adventure. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Quinebaug River, and camping is available at Whispering Pines Campground. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Matunuck Shore Break, and great skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley. High temperatures at Wincheck Pond through the months of summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
