Do stop by Wilbur Pond while you're in this part of Rhode Island. Camping is available at Bowdish Lake Camping Area, and as expected, this is a perfect area for folks who like lakes, Lake Washington is a lake in the vicinity. Wilbur Pond typically gets a good deal of rain; all through the month of November you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. hike on the Border Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Clear and Branch offers some great whitewater. For the period of the summertime here at Wilbur Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Summer nighttime
lows fall down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Wilbur Pond. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff right next door to Wilbur Pond will keep you coming back
again and again. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Quinebaug River, and Wilbur Pond Dam has nice water scenery. Having a good time at Wilbur Pond is painless. Wilbur Pond is a place with
many visitors from Willimantic. This lake is so wonderful. There is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Wilbur Pond called the Walkabout Trail, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly
(Dayville), Ct is a pleasant choice. Why not camp at Echo Lake Campground since you're here at Wilbur Pond, and a good close by hotel is Econo Lodge Sutton.
