Hit the beach if you want, Flynns Beach is practically right here; if you come at the right time of year, Quinebaug River offers some splendid whitewater. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a great place to get some rest; Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a very good place to visit. Bowdish Lake Camping Area is a nice local       campground, and folks from Willimantic love to come here. This lake is so wonderful. Wilbur Pond is right by the Walkabout Trail; you're most likely into lakes, Lake Washington is one of those close by. Wilbur Pond regularly gets a good deal of rain; most of the rain falls throughout November, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Lakes are nice; Bowdish Reservoir is a lake that's near Wilbur Pond, and going for a hike along the Ross Trail will let you                  absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Wilbur Pond to distinguish the water at Wilbur Pond Dam; get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear and Branch. For the duration of the summertime months here at Wilbur Pond, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's.
