A visit to Whites Pond is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors The Inn at Woodstock Hill is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and the Border Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. A wonderful spot for whitewater paddling close to Whites Pond is Clear and Branch; on a great day you can stop at Dark Swamp, a swamp near Whites Pond. This lake is so wonderful.

| | Pine Hill is simple to spot from Whites Pond, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a good place to get some rest. There's a fine forest close to Whites Pond called George Washington Memorial State Forest, and Lake Washington is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. just something you need to do if you haven't yet; on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Walkabout Trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Paquantuck Brook. Whites Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bowdish
Lake Camping Area is a fine local campground, and Hemlock Ledges is an exciting spot to pop by while at Whites Pond. If you get bored of Whites Pond, you could also stop at close by Bowdish Reservoir, and close by you stumble on the
Munyan Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Lots of folks from Willimantic come to Whites Pond; at Lake Washington Dam near Whites Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see. The high level of rainfall makes Whites
Pond a reasonably wet spot; the month with most of the rain is November, and February on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Whites Pond through the long summer days are in the 80's, and the night is quite colder of
course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Whites Pond through the wintertime regularly fall into the 10's. There's so much to do here at Whites Pond that you need
to camp here for a while, Oakleaf Family Campground is a good spot for that, and you can run the rapids of Quinebaug River.
