Get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River, and here at Lake Washington you can see Durfee Hill. Stay the night at Bowdish Lake Camping Area, and nearby you'll come across a wooded vicinity called George Washington Memorial State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is a wonderful national park, and there are plenty of people from Willimantic       here at Lake Washington. Lake Washington is a rather wet place usually with lots of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Sutton is a wonderful location to spend a night or two, and you can spend the day on the beach at Flynns Beach. Wilbur Pond is a nice lake close to Lake Washington; don't forget to take a delightful little                  trip to Paquantuck Brook. Near Lake Washington you locate a golf course called Crystal Lake Golf Club, and float down the rapids of Clear and Branch in a kayak. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! Lake Washington is great! Take a hike on the Walkabout Trail. There's so much to do here at Lake Washington that you need to camp here for a while, Oakleaf Family Campground is a perfect location for that. Lake Washington is close to Lake Washington Dam which is a scenic site certainly worth a visit, and going for a hike along the Ross Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. All the outdoors fun stuff next to Lake Washington will keep you coming back again and again. There are other spots here than Lake Washington, for example Lake Washington, and one of the best things about this site is its proximity to YWCA Beach. A nice nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct; hiking along the Munyan Trail is wonderful fun. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Dark Swamp are fun to take a look at. Through the months of summer at Lake Washington highs are usually in the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course, regularly in the 50's.
