     Wakefield Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Having a glorious time at Wakefield Pond is simple. You'll discover a charming lake called Bowdish Reservoir near Wakefield Pond, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Munyan Trail. For the duration of the summertime months at Wakefield Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 30's while the  
   cold winter nights at Wakefield Pond are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A forest in the neighborhood of Wakefield Pond is Quaddick State Forest; Econo Lodge Sutton is a glorious location to get some rest.
This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the Walkabout Trail, and if you're looking for a brilliant spree, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is relatively near. Wakefield Pond gets lots of water;
 
               the wettest month of the year is commonly November, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. Stay the night at Bowdish Lake Camping Area It's always good to explore Boiling Spring.
Take a hike on the Border Trail; you can see Badger Mountain from Wakefield Pond. Blackmore Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a glorious choice.
All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in close proximity to Wakefield Pond will keep you coming back many times. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Quinebaug River, and a striking lake like Stump Pond is a fine place to pop by. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Wakefield Pond Dam, and Wakefield Pond is a fine site to visit for more than one day, Buck Hill Family Campground is a fine site to camp nearby. At Wakefield Pond you always meet someone from Willimantic, and there are some good whitewater spots on Clear and Branch.
