Why not stop by Wakefield Pond if you're passing through these parts. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time. The cheerful people of Willimantic like to hang out close by. Camping at Bowdish Lake Camping Area is always a good experience, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear and Branch. | | pretty near Wakefield Pond; not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Quaddick State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Buck Hill Family Campground is a wonderful spot to do that, and Boiling Spring is a tremendous local attraction. temperatures in the 80's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Wakefield Pond dip into the 10's. Wakefield
Pond is in the vicinity of Wakefield Pond Dam which is a striking location positively worth taking a look at, and Peck Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by. A pleasant close by hotel is Annex East West Lodge; there are great
locations to discover along the Border Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Quinebaug River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby; don't leave Wakefield Pond without first going for a hike along the Walkabout Trail. Going for
a hike on the Munyan Trail is always a fine adventure, and Badger Mountain is striking and can be spotted from here. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Wakefield Pond has it all. If you need a place to stay Glocester Motor Inn is a perfect choice, and Blackmore Brook is close to Wakefield Pond and is always a joy to stop at.
