Volpes Pond generally gets a large amount of rain; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Very beautiful scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Blue Hills, and one of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Volpes Pond is Nockum Hill. So many fun things to do here at Volpes Pond, too fine to be true. Do stop at Echo Lake right next door to Volpes Pond, it's a beautiful lake. If you like the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Volpes Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Melville                  Campground Recreation Area is a great site to camp, and what would a site like Volpes Pond be without exciting close by highlights like Allen Ledge. A day at Longmeadow Beach next to Volpes Pond is time well spent; during your visit here you'll meet some folks from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River for sure. This lake is so wonderful. Annawomscutt Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at; Paradise Motel is a great campground nearby. At Volpes Pond through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Volpes Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. While you're here at Volpes Pond, you could also stop at striking Brickyard Pond, and dropping by Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
