The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Thirty Acre Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Kingstown NR Newport is a great choice, and Thirty Acre Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Wawaloam Campground is a wonderful local campground. Here at Thirty Acre Pond you can catch a sight of Kingston Hill; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area). This lake is so wonderful. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Laurel Lane Country Club, and if you come at the right time of year, Matunuck Shore Break offers some splendid whitewater. Genesee Brook flows through this area, and some splendid nature is available in Genesee Woods. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a great national park. This lake is so wonderful. Thirty Acre Pond is not the only place close by, Larkin Pond is a close by lake, and why not head up to Yawgoo Valley and strap some skis to your feet.
