This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail. Lakes are great; Lake Washington is a lake that's near Tepee Pond. This is a great region for people who like lakes. Burlingame Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity, and a tremendous swamp in close proximity to Tepee Pond is Dark Swamp. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing       golf at Crystal Lake Golf Club is always a delight; after a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clear and Branch, and here at Tepee Pond you can distinguish Durfee Hill. Comfort Inn & Suites Dayville is a good place to get some rest, and not far from Tepee Pond you get some good water scenery at Burlingame Reservoir Upper Dam. If you adore the outdoors, you'll                  adore Tepee Pond. You must definitely stop by Elbow Rock if you're here at Tepee Pond, and the panoramas at Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor will blow your mind. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Quinebaug River, and don't leave Tepee Pond without first going for a hike along the Ross Trail. High temperatures at Tepee Pond through the summer are in the 80's; the overnight is fairly colder of course, commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Tepee Pond. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. Not far from Tepee Pond you can enjoy the trees of George Washington Memorial State Forest, and if you're looking for a beach nearby we recommend YWCA Beach. A large amount of rain falls at Tepee Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's splendid hiking along the Munyan Trail, and camping is available at Oakleaf Family Campground.
