This is a popular site for folks from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, and one of the best things about this location is its proximity to State Park Beach. The Ross Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes are wonderful; Harris Pond is a lake that's close to Social Pond. During the warm days of summer here at Social Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's.       Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows at Social Pond during the winter mostly descend into the 10's. Arnolds Brook flows through this area, and Social Pond is right by the Munyan Trail. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Social Pond. There's so much to do here at Social Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Circle CG Farm Campground is a brilliant location for that; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn                  Express Hotel & Suites Woonsocket, Ri is a great place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Walkabout Trail, and not far from Social Pond you'll hit upon Harris Pond which is a picturesque lake. Be careful coming to Social Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. If you need a site to stay Quality Inn Smithfield is a splendid choice. Don't miss out on a trip to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor since you're here at Social Pond; if you came to camp Holiday Acres Camping Resort is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Playing golf is lots of fun at Bungay Brook Golf Club, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Yawgoo Valley. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling near Social Pond is Clear and Branch, and don't leave Social Pond without first checking out Coblin Rock.
