In Rhode Island there are many beautiful lakes, Sisson Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sisson Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Melville Campground Recreation Area is a good site for that, and Econo Lodge Middletown is a splendid place to get some rest. Meadowlark RV Park is a wonderful local campground. During the warm days of summer here at Sisson Pond, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are
in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sisson Pond are in the 10's. Sisson Pond Dam is not far at all from Sisson Pond, and Sisson Pond is not far at all from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River. This lake is so wonderful.
If you're looking for a beach in close proximity to Sisson Pond, we recommend Atlantic Beach; magnificent skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley. There are other sites here than Sisson Pond, for example Lawton Valley Reservoir; Slate
Hill can be seen from Sisson Pond. What a place this is for outdoors people. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Matunuck Shore Break, and nearby you hit upon great places like Lawton Valley. Nothing beats kicking
back at Sandy Point Beach, and naturally, all our national parks are tremendous spots to take a look at and Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception.
