It's always fun to stop by Silver Lake. This is a nice vicinity for folks who like lakes. Indian Run Reservoir is a lake around here, and Betty Hull Point is in the vicinity and always delightful to take a look at. Time spent at Scarborough State Beach right next door to Silver Lake is always glorious, and at Silver Lake you can make out Big White Hill. This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore Peace Dale Pond Dam while you're here, and if you're looking for a pleasant

| | journey, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is relatively near. Really brilliant skiing awaits you at Yawgoo Valley. Lakes are glorious; Upper Pond is a lake that's near Silver Lake. There's whitewater on Matunuck Shore Break for all you adrenaline kick people, and a day at gorgeous Scarborough South State Beach close to Silver Lake is a glorious thing to do. sees the most rain; the driest month is February. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fisherman's Memorial State Park is a good spot for that, and a round of golf at nearby Rose Hill
Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. Crooked Brook is in the vicinity of Silver Lake and is always a bliss to go to, and if you're going to from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River, you won't be the
only one. And if that's not sufficient, there's a load more to do close to Silver Lake. If you need a place to stay Holiday Inn South Kingstown (Newport Area) is a great choice; if you came to camp Long Cove Camp Sites and Marina
is a great place to do that. High temperatures at Silver Lake through the summertime are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and winter
nights come with lows in the 10's to Silver Lake. Gin Spring is a good local attraction; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Clayhead Nature Trail. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a
great earth it would be. Crying Bog is an interesting swamp close to Silver Lake, and Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport is a perfect place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.

Echo Lake
 | 18 miles away Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout...Pond has very nice sized bass in it, they are biting all year, the only thing that stinks is the trolling motor only rule after memorial day weekend... |
