Budget Inn-N. Kingstown NR Newport is a fine place to get some rest, and if you have time to spare, Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is a national park worth a visit. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Saw Mill Pond. Woodland Golf Club is a great golf course close by; if you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn-N. A journey to North Kingston Town Beach in the neighborhood of Saw Mill Pond is always a fine idea, and of course Cocumcussoc Brook is a gorgeous stream
that is worth stopping at. You're possibly addicted to lakes, Potowomut Pond is one of those nearby, and hey, Gotta ski right? Yawgoo Valley is a great place to do that. Saw Mill Pond is a reasonably wet place frequently with a great

Echo Lake is the best fishing lake in northern R.I. It has large mouth bass, pike, pickeral, and several varieties of pan fish. I have been fishing this lake for 45 years and it still produces some real fine fish....Echo is a nice pond. I go all the time and always catch something. The biggest i caught was a 6.5 pound large mouth on a watermelon colored lizard. Good place for bass....Pond is mostly made up of kivers and mabey a few striped bass nothing orn thsn 2.5 pounds. Takes about an hour, fish are extremly smart and picky. You are better off with brickyard which has fish up to 40 pounds and trout... |
