Going for a hike along the Munyan Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Crystal Lake Golf Club is a great golf course nearby. Here at Round Pond there are plenty of people from Willimantic. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Round Pond. While you're here at Round Pond, you could also explore beautiful       Cedar Swamp Pond, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Ross Trail. Not far from Round Pond you can enjoy the trees of Buck Hill, and dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Sutton. Buck Hill Pond Dam is not far at all from Round Pond; if you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Killingly (Dayville), Ct is a great choice. Stay the night at Buck Hill Family Campground; do put some time aside to spend at Boiling Spring while you're                  here at Round Pond. Round Pond is a wet spot that gets a large amount of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Badger Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from Round Pond, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Walkabout Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Clear and Branch; Buck Hill Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at. There's so much to do here at Round Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bowdish Lake Camping Area is a delightful site for that; do pay a visit to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor if you're here at Round Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Quinebaug River, and let's not forget Croff Farm Brook which is a stream that you may run into while you're here. Summertime highs at Round Pond regularly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's.
