After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Brooklyn is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and there's whitewater on Clear and Branch for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Don't miss out on a trip to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor       if you're here at Peck Pond; a perfect close by hotel is Comfort Inn & Suites Dayville. No need to travel far to take a look at interesting stuff like Hemlock Ledges, and George Washington Memorial State Forest is a nice forest neighborhood nearby. Camping is available at Bowdish Lake Camping Area, and there are plenty of people from Willimantic here. The Munyan Trail is a great hiking trail near Peck Pond. Lakes are good; Clarkville Pond is a lake that's                  near Peck Pond. The high level of rain makes Peck Pond a pretty wet site; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Elmwood Hill is painless to spot from Peck Pond, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Quinebaug River. Throughout the summer months here at Peck Pond, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and the overnight is rather chillier of course, typically in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Peck Pond sink into the 10's. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. While you're here at Peck Pond you can take a hike along the Border Trail; glorious water scenery is available at Peck Pond Dam close to Peck Pond.
