    In Rhode Island there are many beautiful lakes, Peck Pond is one of them. All our national parks are tremendous sites to stop by, and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception; there is a fine hiking trail close by called the Border Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Interesting geology is available here; Hemlock Ledges is right next door to Peck Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Quinebaug River. Some good nature  
   is available in George Washington Memorial State Forest; if you come at the right time of year, Clear and Branch offers some magnificent whitewater.
And that's not all you can do here at Peck Pond. Glocester Motor Inn is a glorious place to get some rest, and there's always Peck Pond Dam to stop by near Peck Pond. Summertime highs at Peck Pond commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with
 
               highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Peck Pond fall into the 10's. Peck Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is February.
Lakes? Sure, Cady Pond is in the vicinity, and camping is available at Bowdish Lake Camping Area. After a long day outdoors Annex East West Lodge is a glorious place to spend a night or two; why not pop by nearby Blackmore Brook since you're here at Peck Pond. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Peck Pond has it all. Lots of people from Willimantic come to Peck Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. At Peck Pond you can see Elmwood Hill, and you can go for a hike on the Munyan Trail. Going for a hike on the Walkabout Trail is always a good adventure; why not camp at Buck Hill Family Campground if you're here at Peck Pond.
