Payne Pond is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Matunuck Shore Break is a delightful whitewater spot close to Payne Pond, and here at Payne Pond you can observe Harbor Hill. The yearly rain here at Payne Pond is about average; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is July. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Barlows Point is pretty in close proximity to Payne Pond.

A splendid nearby hotel is Manisses, and Pebby Beach is quite nearby if you're in a beach type of mood. Swamps don’t sound that pleasant but Ambrose Swamp close to Payne Pond is pretty pleasant, and you can stay the night at Worden's Pond Family Campgrounds.

the Clayhead Nature Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you need a place to stay 1661 Inn is a splendid choice. You're probably keen on lakes, Continental Pond is one of those close by, and there's some
out of the ordinary stuff to see at Old Harbor in close proximity to Payne Pond. Put some time aside to spend at Boiling Spring if you're here at Payne Pond; no need to travel far to visit attention-grabbing stuff like Lantern Rock.
Payne Pond is a magnificent site to camp, Long Cove Camp Sites and Marina is a magnificent site, and a great spot nearby is Rodman Hollow. Through the summer here at Payne Pond, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's with night
lows in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Payne Pond temperatures plunge to the 20's.
