What would a spot like Motts Pond be without out of the ordinary nearby characteristics like Black Rock; dry warm beds await you at Sandy Shore Motel and Apts. On a beautiful day you can pop by Vaills Beach in close proximity to Motts Pond, and Motts Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Burlingame Campground is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Boiling Spring, and don't leave Motts

| | Pond without first going for a hike along the Clayhead Nature Trail. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Motts Pond has it all. Matunuck Shore Break has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby; Hampton Inn South Kingstown Newport Area is a good spot to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Motts Pond. you're here. A day at picturesque Block Island State Beach in close proximity to Motts Pond is a great thing to do, and there's some exciting stuff to see at Old Harbor right next door to Motts Pond. Throughout the months of summer
at Motts Pond highs are mostly in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Motts Pond through the winter typically
dip into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are fine; Betty Pucky Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Motts Pond. There's so much to do here at Motts Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Long Cove Camp Sites
and Marina is a fine place for that. Beacon Hill is a peak you can make out from Motts Pond, and if you wish for a little side trip, try Rodman Hollow. Swamps like Ambrose Swamp are fun to take a look at; not far from Motts Pond
you'll find Fresh Pond which is a beautiful lake. Motts Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; the wettest month of the year is generally November, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is July.
