Going for a hike along the Clayhead Nature                  Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Yawgoo Valley since you're here. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do right next door to Mitchell Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Burlingame Campground is a nice spot to camp, and don't leave Mitchell Pond without first checking out Black Rock. You're possibly keen on lakes, Peckham Pond is one of those nearby, and Rodman Hollow is a tremendous location to spend some time.
