A day at Island Park Beach close to Melville Ponds is time well spent, and Arnold Point is quite close. Meadowlark RV Park is a great campground nearby, and Lawton Valley Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could visit. If you came for an overnight stay Melville Campground Recreation Area is a great place to camp, and why not visit Lawton Valley Reservoir Dam if you're here. This lake is so wonderful. There are swamps       here too; Hessians Hole is close at hand, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Sandy Point Beach. Econo Lodge Middletown is a perfect site to get some rest, and you're sure to encounter some good people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River here. A large amount of rain falls at Melville Ponds; the month with most of the rain is November, and July is when it's the driest. You truly should love Melville Ponds. You can never get enough                  of the brilliant skiing at Yawgoo Valley, and a spree to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is worthwhile. Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are beyond doubt bountiful here at Melville Ponds. The peak of Almy Hill can be spotted from Melville Ponds, and a lake close by is Saint Marys Pond.
