Don't forget to visit Raymonds Point since you're here at Maple Root Pond, and since you're here you can play some golf at Coventry Pines Country Club. On a gorgeous day you get a view of Hungry Hill from Maple Root Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Walkabout Trail. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Maple Root Pond. You don’t have to go far from Maple Root Pond to observe the water at Flat River Reservoir Dam, and Maple Root Pond is not the only site nearby, Capwell Millpond is a nearby lake. Bear Brook is close to Maple Root Pond and is always a delight to explore; there are some perfect whitewater spots on Matunuck Shore Break. Camping at Colwell's Campground is always a good experience, and Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor is one of the destinations that are delightful to explore close by. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Narragansett Trail; if you've had enough of Maple Root Pond, Reynolds Pond is nearby.
