Slacks Pond Beach is a beach in close proximity to Madison Pond that you can check out, and Pine Swamp Reservoir is a magnificent lake nearby. Going for a hike along the Ross Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and an afternoon playing golf at Melody Hill Country Club is always a joy. This lake is so wonderful. So much exciting stuff to do at Madison Pond, so little time. The Munyan Trail is a nice       hiking trail close to Madison Pond; the view of Horn Hill is wonderful. During the warm days of summer at Madison Pond highs are mostly in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Madison Pond. Why not pop by a swamp like Pine Swamp since you're here at Madison Pond, and camping is available at Holiday Acres Camping Resort. If the weather is tremendous                  here at Madison Pond, you can go for a hike along the Walkabout Trail, and while you're here, you could take a look at Brandy Brook. Why not camp at Camp Sunrise since you're here at Madison Pond, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Clear and Branch. Just can't get enough of Madison Pond. Comfort Suites Smithfield is a splendid spot to get some rest, and beaches are fine and Steers Beach is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Yawgoo Valley in close proximity, and an exciting thing to take a look at near Madison Pond is Kimball Reservoir Dam. If you haven’t been to Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, you have to schedule some time for it while you're here, and lots of people from Providence-New Bedford-Fall River come here. Madison Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Quality Inn Smithfield is a great site to spend a night or two. Lakes?
