In Rhode Island there are many beautiful lakes, Long Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. It's a good idea to go to Mastuxet Brook, it's near Long Pond; if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Matunuck Shore Break. Long Pond is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Timber Creek RV Resort is a splendid place to camp nearby; nearby you stumble on the Narragansett Trail which is a tremendous

This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Long Pond you will meet lots of folks from nearby Norwich-New London, and Sandy Shore Motel and Apts is a pleasant location to get some rest. An afternoon playing golf at Winnapaug Country Club is always a bliss, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites Stonington is a fine spot | |

A good deal of precipitation falls at Long Pond; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain; June is when it's the driest. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Certain Draw Point
is in the vicinity and always great to have a look at; going for a hike on the Clayhead Nature Trail is always a perfect adventure. During the summertime months highs here at Long Pond reach the 80's while night lows are regularly
in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Long Pond temperatures sink to the 10's.
A good panorama of picturesque Pawcatuck Rock is available from Long Pond; during your stay here do stop at close by Misquamicut State Beach.
